COVID-Related Travel Restrictions Will End in November

20. Sep. 2021

The Biden administration will lift COVID-19 Travel Restrictions starting in November on foreigners who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, reopening the country to thousands of people, including those who have been separated from employers in the United States during the pandemic.

Foreign travelers will need to show proof of vaccination and a negative test for COVID-19 within three days before boarding a flight to the United States, Jeff Zients, the White House pandemic coordinator, said.  Mr. Zients cited the pace of vaccinations administered globally as a reason for the administration’s pivot.  The changes announced today only apply to air travel and do not affect restrictions along the land border.
