Annual Limits Reached: EB-1 and EB-4
This is a follow-up to our article Annual Limits Reached: EB-3, EW and EB-5, published on August 22nd.
The U.S. Department of State has announced all available immigrant visas (“green cards”) in the EB-1 and EB-4 categories have been issued for this fiscal year, which ends on September 30, 2024. The annual limits will reset with the start of the new fiscal year (FY 2025) on October 1, 2024.
This means Adjustment of Status applicants with pending I-485 applications in the EB-1, EB-3, EW and EB-5 categories will need to wait at least until October for an approval. The Visa Bulletin will also likely show an advancement in the cutoff dates in October, when immigrant visas become available in all categories again.
