USCIS Selects New Registrations in Second Round of H-1B Cap Lottery

After completing the first lottery in March, USCIS selected additional registrations on July 28^th (yesterday) to fill remaining spots of the 85,000 H-1B cap for Fiscal Year 2022 (beginning October 1, 2021).  Although emails were sent to attorney representatives today, July 29^th, to login and check for new selections, the myUSCIS system is not operational as of the time this immigration alert was drafted.  This is likely due to system inundation after this morning’s announcement.  Please be assured ILG will continue to check myUSCIS for new selections and then notify clients who have been newly selected.

ILG will complete informing all Petitioners who have newly selected employee beneficiaries no later than Monday, August 2^nd (assuming myUSCIS account is operational later today).  Petitions for newly selected registrations must be filed between August 2^nd and November 2^nd.
