Update Re: Temporary Suspension of Premium Processing for H-1B Extensions

This is an update to our May 19th Article.

Although USCIS is currently not accepting Premium Processing requests for H-1B extensions, and most H-1B change of employer petitions typically request an extension, USCIS is accepting PP requests for change of employer H-1Bs where an “amendment” is requested with no extension of stay.  This is an option for employers hiring H-1B workers who are not comfortable joining until the new employer’s H-1B has been approved.

The temporary suspension of Premium Processing for H-1B Extension of Stay petitions is still expected to end on July 27, 2015, as previously reported.
