U.S. Consulate in Chengdu and Shenyang Will No Longer Conduct H or L Visa Interviews

The U.S. Department of State has announced that it will consolidate the processing of H and L visa applications in China.  Starting March 1, 2019, interviews for H and L visas will be conducted only at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou, and the U.S. Consulate in Shanghai.  The Department of State will no longer be conducting H or L visa interviews at the U.S. Consulates in Chengdu or Shenyang “due to the volume and complexity of H and L visa cases and to ensure that we have the proper resources and expertise to efficiently process them.” This new policy has been updated at: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-niv-typework.asp#WhentoApply"
