OMB Completes Review of H-1B Preregistration Rule

On January 25^th, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) completed review of new USCIS regulations regarding registration requirement for petitioners seeking to file cap-subject H-1B petitions.  OMB’s review is the last step in the regulatory process before final agency action by USCIS.  See our previous article on this topic.

Based on this swift action, the new rule will likely be published soon and may be implemented for this year’s H-1B “cap season” (cap-subject H-1Bs filed in April 2019).  Please check back as we will continue monitoring this rule and provide information as obtained.
