Nearly All Employment-Based Immigrant Visa Categories To Become "Current" for July 2007

June 13, 2007

The just released July Visa Bulletin shows that the priority date (PD) cut-off for every country and every category with the exception of "Other Workers" have been made "current" for July 2007.

Immigration Law Group will be reviewing client files to identify individuals who are now eligible for I-485. Given the dramatic move in dates, and the resulting surge of qualifying applicants it creates, Immigration Law Group will exercise our best effort in filing all cases as quickly as possible, on a first-in, first-out basis.

The Department of State, which issues the monthly visa bulletins, commented that "should the rate of demand for numbers be very heavy in the coming months, it could become necessary to retrogress some cut-off dates for September … Severe cut-off date retrogressions are likely to occur early in FY-2008."

The Department of State's Bureau of Consular Affairs offers the monthly "Visa Bulletin" on the web. The web address to access the Bulletin is: http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html.
