[Part 1 of 3 in ILG’s weekly I-9 and E-Verify series]
On March 8, 2013, USCIS released a new version of Form I-9 that changes both the content and procedure of filing out the form. All employers are required to use the new form starting May 7, 2013. We at Immigration Law Group strongly recommend employers take the time to ensure that they maintain I-9 compliance amid these changes.
Because these I-9 changes can be confusing and affect hiring procedures, we have received a lot of questions about the new form and how it affects internal compliance practices and policies. ILG would like to remind you that we offer a variety of both I-9 and E-Verify services aimed at advising and educating companies on these issues. Our services include:

We recommend that all employers invest in retaining legal counsel for their I-9 and E-Verify needs during their transition to the new Form I-9 and beyond.
