H-1B Cap Likely to be Reached by the End of This Week

H-1B Cap Likely to be Reached by the End of This Week
January 19, 2011

USCIS has advised that the FY 2011 H-1B cap count was at 62,800 as of last Friday, January 21st, up 2,100 from the previous week.

As such, there are only 1,750 H-1Bs left. At this rate, the cap will likely be reached before the end of this week.

This is an update after predicting on January 7th that that H-1B cap will be reached close to the end of January.

Also, as previously reported, the "advanced US degree" cap of 20,000 per year was reached at the end of December. Beneficiaries with US advanced degrees are now applying against the regular cap until that is also exhausted.
