Clifton C. Wu, Partner

Clifton Wu co-founded Immigration Law Group to establish a firm with the capacity to provide unsurpassed personalized legal services, expeditiously and effectively.

Having immigrated to the United States himself, Clifton has personal experience with the complexities of the arduous immigration process. With this experience in mind, he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Santa Clara University School of Law to pursue a career in immigration and nationality law. Prior to establishing Immigration Law Group, Clifton practiced employment-based immigration law with Won-Chung & Baker LLP in San Jose, California. He is extensively skilled in managing high-volume international personnel transfers, processing both non-immigrant and permanent residency cases for Fortune 500 companies in the high-tech and manufacturing sectors. Clifton has been directly involved in resolving immigration concerns relating to mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and downsizing, and he regularly provides on-site education to human resources representatives, hiring managers, and foreign national employees. Clifton also enjoys counseling younger, emerging companies, guiding them through the multifaceted challenges of establishing and managing a corporate immigration program, while educating them on the complex immigration process. Additionally, Clifton has taken pleasure in successfully representing world-class athletes, enabling them to live and compete in the United States.

Clifton's other notable legal experiences include serving as a Technical Editor of the distinguished Santa Clara Law Review, and receiving the high honor of working as a Federal District Court Judicial Extern for the Honorable Robert M. Takasugi, U.S. District Court Judge for the Central District of California.

Clifton is admitted to practice in the state of California and he is also a member of the American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
